It’s football time again in England, and to kick us off Arsenal squares off against Leicester. Initially, the odds favor Arsenal, but it’s hard to count out the team that stole the League two seasons ago.

          No – (11/10)

Arsenal comes in heavy favorites off a season they finished in 5th place. They are in a good position to do even better this year, retaining Alexis Sanchez after an offseason of transfer rumors. He contributed 24 goals to a Gunner’s offense that averaged 2 goals a game. They had a goal difference of +33, which is a huge advantage over a Leicester club that had a goal difference of -15. Arsenal also comes into this match with 4 goal scorers of 8 or more goals, where Leicester only has one.

That one player happens to be Jamie Vardy. It’s hard to discount a team that just back in 2016 Vardy led to a Premier League win, much to the surprise of just about everyone. Having gone from 24 goals down to 13 last season, Vardy will be committed bouncing back.  And with the club going from 1st position to 12th, passions should be high to push for improvement.

Arsenal 2-1 Leicester

By the 90′ minute mark the score should reflect a Gunner’s team that overpowered Leicester, but the reality should be a close, hard fought match. Over 2.5 goals is a great bet with players like Sanchez, Ozil, and Vardy on the attack, which puts but teams scoring also a great bet. While it’s not out of the realm of possibility for Leicester to pull out the win, the better odds would be in a draw.
