Champions League Group play presses on as the loaded Group H continues to jockey for top position. Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid face each other for the second straight match after finishing their last fixture a 1-1 draw. With both clubs 2-1-0 with 7 goals for and 2 against, the top of Group H is up for grabs with a win this week.
Tottenham – (3.30)
Real Madrid – (2.05)
Draw – (3.60)
Goal Over/Under – 2.5
Over – (1.47)
Under – (2.60)
Both Teams to Score
Yes – (1.44)
No – (2.62)
Both clubs are sitting in 3rd place in their respective leagues, which is amazing considering the Power House Real Madrid is, winning 5 of their last 6 but still 2 games out of 2nd place. With one of the most famously loaded rosters in all of football, it’s shocking that Real doesn’t have a single player in the top 10 La Liga scorers. This includes 1 goal from Megastars Christiano Ronaldo and Toni Kroos, 2 from Gareth Bale and Isco.
And then they play Champions League matches and Ronaldo goes wild, tied with Tottenham star Harry Kane with 5 goals in 3 matches. Almost any other team you would need to beg the question of which Madrid will show up, underperforming Primera Liga or Dominant Champions League, but I think we all know the answer.
Their hands are full, however, as there is no questioning Tottenham’s strong play. Regardless of their Loss to Manchester United they still sit a single game back of 2nd place in the Premier League and sport the Leaguing scorer across both Leagues, with Harry Kane notching 5 in Champions and overtaking Romelu Lukaku with 8 in Premier.
If theres any concern for them, it’s their rocky record over the last 4 matches. Their draw with Real Madrid was followed by a Premier League win over Liverpool 4-1, then consecutive losses, on in The League Cup and another to Manchester United. Where Real is trending up, Tottenham seems to be trending down.
Tottenham 1 – 2 Real Madrid
This is truly closer than the odds show, and while Real Madrid can’t seem to figure their scoring out Christiano Ronaldo is playing like he needs another Champions Title. Tottenham is in the perfect position to prove their legitimacy against the ever powerful Madrid club, but just don’t seem to be in the winning mindset right now.
Look for Real Madrid (2.05), Over 2.5 (1.47), and both clubs to score (1.44) all to hit.Bet Now!
